21 Days Classic Tour

The 21 day tour is our longest tour. We have structured an exciting tour with a good balance of scuba diving and wildlife activities.

This adventure starts in Durban and instead of heading north as with the 10 and 14 day tours you will head south to Umkomaas and start this tour off with some scuba diving on the famous “Aliwal Shoal”. You will spend five days in Umkomaas, scuba diving and exploring the reefs of “The Shoal”, famously known for its sharks and wrecks. Of the eight dives in total, one will be a baited shark dive. In between the diving, you will take a day off and spend the day at your own leisure either visiting Durban in the north or heading south to Lake Eland Game Reserve to get your first taste of some of the magnificent wildlife this country has to offer.

From Umkomaas it is time to head north to the beautiful village of St Lucia, a World Heritage site tucked away in the north of Kwazulu Natal. You will spend three days here and get to experience a very special place in our country. On your first day here you will be treated to a full-day beach and bush safari in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park which includes swimming/snorkelling at Cape Vidal. On the second day a definite highlight is up: a full day guided trip to the Hluhluwe (Shloo-Shloo-Wee) /iMfolozi Game Reserve. Here you will get the opportunity to possibly see South Africa`s "Big 5" (Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo). This will be an experience of a lifetime. Day three is waiting with an Eco Tour up the estuary on one of the large viewing boats where you will definitely meet plenty of Hippos and Crocs.

Next up is another good dose of scuba diving, so you will head even further north into Zululand to a very pristine area called Rocktail Bay. The next two days will be diving days on some of the most secluded beaches and coral reefs along our coastline. The charters you will be diving with are the only dive charters operating in the area, guaranteeing you will be the only divers in the area.

After two magical days of diving (4 dives) and pure relaxation in Rocktail Bay you will take a very short road trip south to Sodwana Bay. Here, the next three days will be diving days and the last scuba diving of the tour where you will get to explore some more of the stunning coral reefs of South Africa`s north coast.

From Sodwana you will go on a full day road trip inland to South Africa´s largest game reserve, The Kruger National Park. This drive will be about 8-9 hours, if you prefer, you could also drive back to Durban and take a flight up to the Kruger National Park. In the Kruger, you will spend three days exploring the magnificent nature and wildlife and get the opportunity to see the BIG 5. Two guided games drives per day are included in this trip, one in the early morning hours and one in the late afternoon. Guided game walks are possible during the day.

From the Kruger NP it is time to head towards your final destination but not without first stopping off at Pilgrims Rest, a small town with a great history and an area which played a major role in the history of South Africa and the gold rush of the time. You will get to see the village in its historical condition. You will spend a night at the old hotel and can have a final drink in the historic hotel pub.

From Pilgrims Rest you will head towards OR Tambo International Airport Johannesburg and sadly leave your heart here as you head home. But we will surely see you again for another adventure of a lifetime.
